The AMS-IX Caribbean infrastructure is housed in the Datacenter E-Commerce Park (ECP) in Willemstad on the island Curacao, Netherlands Antilles. It is a professional neutral tier III datacenter and is located in the government appointed E-Zone: Vredenberg. This means ECP customers only have to pay 2 % annual profit taxes, no import duties and no sales tax.
At ECP, customers can connect to the infrastructure locally by a cross-connect between their equipment and the AMS-IX Caribbean patch panel. AMS-IX Caribbean also allows for remote connections. Customers need to make their own arrangements with ECP for the internal patching (in ECP) of remote connections to the CAR-IX equipment.
ECP is independent of AMS-IX Caribbean and therefore any issues regarding the housing of equipment here needs to be directed towards the colocation directly. Note that you must have an agreement with the colocation before you can connect to the AMS-IX Caribbean network.
